What's up everyone and today I literally do mean up because we are talking about a

0:06.6

rooftop farm. This is Gotham Greens which is one of the most badass names I've heard

0:12.0

for an urban farm and a name I'm going to copy that somehow or

0:15.2

I'm going to name it after my favorite superhero whenever I have a rooftop farm, which would

0:19.2

probably be Daredevil Farms or like Hell's Kitchen Farms because I was obsessed with the

0:24.0

Daredevil comics as a kid. I think I actually tried to be blind so I could gain

0:31.3

extra sensory perception with my other senses. I don't know if you guys

0:34.7

0:39.5

and all sorts of different superpowers. Anyways I'm getting a little nerdy and a little off topic. So again, I was out in New York and I went over to Gotham Greens in Gowanus and Brooklyn and it's on top of a whole foods. So you roll up to the whole foods

You walk up to the top, the whole food

1:03.9

sort of has a little food quart up on the roof and you go through this door.

1:07.7

And there's this incredibly sophisticated hyper-local basil, leafy green and herb production facility up there and so I had

1:17.1

contacted them and I just wanted to come out and take a look because I think many

1:20.3

of you long-time listeners or readers or sort of followers of epic gardening

1:23.7

would know that hydroponics was my first love.

1:26.7

It's the thing that got me into gardening in the first place because just being such a science

1:30.8

he-minded individual that was the hook that got me into growing plants in general.

1:36.1

And now, of course, I've expanded and really found a love for soil gardening and market
