Hey, everybody. It's Glenn Thrush with Politico's Off Message podcast. A lot of interesting

stuff going on with the transition, but also a lot going on with reporters trying to gird their

loins to figure out how the hell they're going

to cover the Trump White House.

A lot of stuff going back and forth.

If you've listened to this before, you know I do not have any tolerance for bedwetting

reporters.

I think we have got to stop with this navel gazing.

We've did a lot of good stuff.

We did a lot of bad stuff.

I think anybody who was paying attention to what the Washington Post, the New York Times, Politico, reputable outlets, with an honest outlook towards reporting, was able to get as much information, more information than they needed to make an informed judgment about who they should elect president.

The voters made their decision. I think we got to stop beating ourselves up. We should make some

adjustments, but we should also recognize we seem to be confronted with a new era in presidential

and press relations. Apropos, I was on the Diane Ream Show, WAMU here in Washington, NPR nationally,

on what seemed like a pretty mundane panel,

just talking about the challenges of covering a Trump administration,

until Scotty Nell Hughes, who runs a site, I believe, called red alert.com,

but in any event, she's a Trump surrogate,

often on CNN. I think she's based at a Nashville, Tennessee. We started talking with her.

She called in, and she said, one of the most remarkable things I've ever heard anyone said,

when we were talking about the challenge of dealing with Trump and the fact that he seems to develop information sources

beyond anything that we are able to fact check.
