A group of entitled carons tried to rob my goodwill that I was working at, but after watching

them try to steal merchandise, I not only confronted them about trying to steal from my store,

but I banned them all from my store for life. Here's what happened. So today's tale of audacity

comes once again from the halls of Goodwill Industries, the Valhalla of entitled jerks everywhere.

I had just put out a new card of items before the store opened, which is something I would usually do.

I'm an early bird, and I truly love sorting through all the donations. I've been a junker since birth.

Anyways, every morning I'd get in about an hour early, so I had the place to myself. I would

bring my tea, sort out a new cart, and make sure there was new stuff out on the floor. This particular

morning there was a large card of hats, men's hats, women's hats, all of various kinds. This will

be important later, so I opened the store and went about my day. That is until this particular group

of nasty old carons came in. I had dealt with them on several occasions. They always came in a group,

and always had something to complain about, or were generally just a pain, and today would be one

of their most offensive displays, so I stop what I'm doing and go behind the register, so I can

both keep an eye on them and not subject my employees to their nonsense. One of these wild carons

immediately goes for the hats. The very ones I just put out. I watched this grown woman in at least

her 70s go through it, find one that she likes, and put it on her head, which is no big deal. I just

figure that she's wearing it up to the register, so they go about their shopping, complaining about

this and that and the other, saying stuff like, where's the new stuff? Why don't you have this thing

or that thing? Why don't you have a bathroom? All forms and manners of stupidity. Eventually,

it leads up to check out time. The first caron checks out, and complains about no senior discount.

Despite being told by me personally, at least half a dozen times that we don't actually have that,

maybe she figures all magically fine one someday. The next caron goes through without any issue.
