We spend a lot of time talking about some of the things the media leave out of their coverage,

omission, and how it affects the news and affects the world and the way things happen in the United States.

But it's also quite funny sometimes when we see

stories that are just pushed, a narrative, something that people really don't care that much

about, but it's at the forefront. And we hear a lot about it. One such story is basketball player

Brittany Greiner, who was jailed in Russia for a lengthy amount of time for allegedly going into the

country with some sort of paraphernalia from marijuana, which is illegal in Russia and was jailed.

And the Biden administration worked a swap where we traded a stone cold killer, a terrorist,

basically, in exchange for Brittany

Griner to free her. So that made big news. And of course, that was newsworthy. It's somebody you've

heard of. It's somebody you know. They're jailed in Russia. That's a real story. The return of

Britney Griner to basketball is not such a big story, but it's just getting play all over the place.

As everyone wants to see her succeed, she's now seen as a hero, some sort of an idol or

person to look up to for the terrible things that she's been subjected to.

There are undertones of discrimination in all this.

She's a person of color.

She's gay.

There's so many different things and layers to the story that they want to keep pushing and pushing and pushing Brittany Greiner.

The bottom line is nobody cares about the WNBA.
