Today we'll be discussing why Gellet Grindewald, the notorious Dark Wizard and former friend

of Albus Dumbledoreore told Voldemort that

he never possessed the Elder Wond, even though he very much did.

The Elder Wond, also known as the Death Stick or the Wond of Destiny, is one of the

three Deathly Hallows in the Harry Potter series.

It is said to be the most powerful wand that has ever existed, capable of performing feats

of magic that would normally be considered impossible.

The one's history dates back to the tale of the three brothers, as told in the children's

book The Tales of Beald the Bard.

According to the tale, Death himself crafted the elder wand and gave it to Antioch

Peverell, the eldest of the three brothers who had requested a wand more powerful than

any in existence.

Since then, the elder wand has changed magical hands many times, often through acts of murder

or violence.

The violent ends that have met the witches and wizards who have possessed the elder

wand is likely due to the fact that the one's allegiance is one not by inheritance, but

by overpowering its previous owner.

This unique characteristic has led to a bloody history, with each new owner typically killing

the previous one to gain the wand's power.
