thankfully, pushing to ban AI companies from offering chatbot

friends to children under the age of 18. We want to warn everyone that the details of this story

are heartbreaking, but they are something that we all need to open our eyes to because this is Adam, 16-year-old

Adam Rayne, who could be any one of our sons, any one of our daughters, any one of our

children. And his family blames a chatbot for his suicide just six months ago in

April.

The family is suing OpenAI,

claiming that ChatGPT, ChatGPT 40 in particular,

became a suicide coach, encouraging Adam,

giving him more information on how to kill himself, even offering, I can't even believe we're saying this, to write his suicide note for him. Here is one exchange, according to

the lawsuit. Adam said this, only you, my dude, you're the only one who knows of my attempts to commit.
