to a question that I asked my grandfather several moons ago. Where is the most beautiful place in

What do you think is the most beautiful place you've seen in Scotland?

Oh, well.

I like the grey mare's tale.

That's doing the future, of course.

That's where that walk I was talking about we finished up at walking down

the grey mare's tail. It's a waterfall and it's nothing but waterfalls all the way doing the gully

you know and you can't really get near it because it's a big steep drop but you can walk along the

top and you've got some lovely views of it.

The great what they call the grey mare's tail because it's that high a waterfall I think that's

why it would call the grey mare's tail. Now what I love about this answer is that neither of us are

from the borders Annie so we don't know anything about this area at all or the specific place your

granddad's talking about. When we heard him talk about the grey mare's tale, we were intrigued

to know more about it. To be considered the most beautiful place in Scotland is a huge accolade

to be handed from someone who's lived over 80 years in Scotland and seen almost every corner of the country.

So we started digging and we found some wonderful stories that are really grounded in the ground, actually, is what I've been looking at.
