Hello kittens, this is your old pal Greg Proops the Proop Dog.

Our beloved friend Mark Crowley the playwright

walked on into the next universe this week at the age of 84.

He was born in Mississippi, went to New York City, got a job working with

Elyah Kazan, the movie director, became a personal assistant and

confidant to Natalie Wood, the actress, who encouraged him to write.

And then he wrote the groundbreaking gay play, The Boys in the Band,

which became a movie, I'm going to play, then it was revived and

Tony on Broadway last year and is going to be a Netflix movie that comes out in June.

This is an interview we did with him in 2014 at Joe's Pub in New York.

It's preceded by interaction with the fabulous John Epperson on piano,

who also is known as Lip Sinka, the fabulous lip-sinka.

And Tony Visconti, who is the producer of such great artists as T-Rex and David Bowie.
