So you're in the House of Lords today.

I was in the House of Lords today.

Yeah, it was fascinating.

Why were you there?

Because I'm trying to get involved with helping, you know, the arts and music for younger people because we know it's awful out there, isn't it? You're going to be Lord of the Dance, are you? No, no, no, I'm just sort of talking to people, aren't I? I told you about when I went to the House of Lords for dinner once, didn't it? You did, but I do love the story. I met Michael Gove by chance, who was in there, who got into a right

fluster because he turns out he was a massive Spandau ballet fan. No comments, please, about that

from anybody out there. I think he took this severely Nazi imagery seriously.

That's what he liked.

And he goes, go on, I can name any lyric.

Go on, test me.

Reformation, go on.

So that was an experience.

Did you test him?

Oh, I was embarrassed, really.

And he was at the table.

I actually once, back when I used to, you know, be one of those idiots, used to shout the odds on Twitter, which, of course, I didn't do any of that anymore. And I used to love, I used to get into spats with him. And he'd occasionally replied, and he once, I'd said something to him, and he came back and he tried to be, said something really sarcastic oh what wildly and wit and so i used it as a quote on my poster for my edinburgh show which completely backfired because i just had to explain to everyone that i was being ironic

right right i mean but you can imagine michael gove as a new romantic, can't you, in a headband?

It's not hard to imagine that.
