Let's talk once again about monsters, creatures, the nightmare beings that haunt

our dreams. Mythic creatures that stalk human prey go back to time immemorial. Giants, Cyclopses, human animal hybrids,

and mysterious creatures of the sea

have been around since before Greek mythology

and are more ubiquitous than ever today.

Yes, they can be metaphors for the social ills, for the outcasts, for the others among us,

but they can also just be hugely entertaining imaginative creations to make our horror-loving

lives even more wonderfully horrible.

The creature creators behind our favorite movies and television are working at the height of their powers these days and their imaginations are remarkably fertile.

The technology available today has allowed these dark artists to combine practical effects and computer-generated imagery

to create remarkably realistic and earthbound terrors.

We will always pay tribute to those gifted wicked artists on post-mortem.

We've had conversations with Bill Corso, the Kyoto Brothers, Tony Gardner, and our
