Today's giant mail begins with a whoops from me.

In a previous episode, I talked about how built now you can earn points when you're buying a house.

You earn like one point for every $2 of the house you purchase.

And in that discussion, I incorrectly asserted that this was based on using a particular provider to get your mortgage.

That's not right. It's using that particular provider as your buying agent. It's the agent who gets,

you know, a fee for helping you buy a house that is passing on some of that fee to you

in the form of points, basically, is what's happening there.
