The Athletic reported last week that Chief Executive Richard Arnold

but I think it's important at this point just to lay clear some of the key points from the

three statements that were released today by Manchester United, by Mason Greenwood, and also Chief Executive Richard Arnold.

So in the club statement, they said, based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture and that Mason did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged.

That said, as Mason publicly acknowledges today, he has made mistakes which he is taking responsibility for.
