Yesterday, Adam Crafton broke the news on The Athletic that Manchester United's chief executive,

Richard Arnold, told the club's executive leadership in early August that United were planning

to reintegrate Mason Greenwood into the first team.

This comes after Greenwood had sexual assault charges against him dropped in February,

charges that he denied.

Just as the story was published, Manchester United released a statement saying the investigation

was done, but a final decision had not been made.

Just who is Mason Greenwood?

Mason Greenwood, a prodigiously talented young footballer who's been at the club at their academy since he was six.

He made his debut as a substitute in that famous result away to PSG, where United came back from

2-0 down to win 3-1.

And there's been a lot of attention on him since that point, really, because Oligona Salshaw called

him the best finisher at Manchester United when he had Marcus Rashford and Anthony Marshall at the

club, another strikers, Romolo Lukaku, I think, as well.
