If you've ever thought about getting a greenhouse I know it's probably every gardener's fantasy

certainly is mine and let me just say this right now guys I may or may not be queued up to get a

pretty happy one in 2023 it might cost a little bit but we do it for the homestead so more to come

on that but Chris who is our guest today and also an epic gardening team member up in Vancouver

British Columbia I saw your greenhouse Chris it's fantastic and for those who haven't seen it

do you mind just kind of giving an overview I know there's a lot of different types of greenhouses

out there yeah so for mine it's a polycarbonate greenhouse so it's not glass a lot of the times when

you think of a greenhouse you picture those very beautiful like Victorian like those very pointy

roof ones with the the glass walls mine isn't as pretty but I find it very practical like I have

a six-year-old son who likes to throw sticks around so I have polycarbonate so it's less see-through

but it's quite well insulated I mean I don't live in frigid cold temperatures or anything but

for right now with what I'm growing it does provide the extra insulation and because I live

in the city there are bylaws that I have to abide by so it's an eight by 12 greenhouse and the

footprint allows me to you know have a greenhouse in the front garden without needing the extra

permits so it's a fun little greenhouse in the front garden I think it it really

broadens what I get to do in the garden in terms of gardening yeah the thing I love about it is

I mean I think you said it doesn't look pretty I thought I thought it had a cool look to it

it's polycarbonate but for all intents you can't really you can't really tell so it kind of

does still have that glass house vibe to me and yeah I mean it just allows you to do so much when

I walked in you had you know a sunday in their carnivorous plant you had a couple different types

of of Japanese citrus in there just things that you wouldn't expect in what February and in Vancouver

and so obviously it opens up your space a lot I think the first thing that comes to mind for people
