0:38.7	headlines lately around green jobs, and I thought we could all use a refresher as well as an overview of the new
0:46.2	American Climate Core program. Quickly, the American Climate Corps was announced in September of
0:51.3	2023 about two months ago, and the program that we're coming to know as the American Climate Corps program will be
0:57.6	leveraging funding from both of the bipartisan infrastructure law and the
1:01.2	inflation reduction act to exciting historic pieces of legislation that we've seen over
1:06.5	the last couple of years looking to invest in climate infrastructure.
1:10.7	So through this American Climate
1:12.2	Corps program, these funds will be leveraged to most specifically engage young people in tackling
1:18.2	the climate crisis through climate related training programs, pathways, job opportunities.
1:23.2	It's essentially an extension of the AmeriCorps program in education across the climate sector.
1:30.0	But before I even get ahead of myself talking about the American Climate Corps program, I want to talk about green jobs because both of these will be big conversation points in the presidential campaigns of the next year.
1:40.2	I have done a couple other episodes on green jobs, so I'll link those in the show notes.
