Good afternoon fellow investors and welcome back to Invest Talk.

This is our Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 edition, and we are excited for this hour with you to look at where markets are today,

both in the short, medium, and long term, and help you decipher the headlines, the data that are important to you and your

investments and your particular situation. There's a lot of noise out there. Social media is filled with clickbates and

sensational articles that really don't give you a whole lot besides trying to

stoke up those emotions.

And we know throughout the years that using your emotions

is your quickest path to making a bad decisions.

A bad decision. A bad decision. A bad decision. Fear and greed are the main emotions and

depending on what the markets are doing, depending on what particular asset classes are doing,

you will likely feel one or the other.

And your job, our job is to weed out those emotions, focus on the facts on the ground, the fundamentals of the asset, as well as the market trends, and the risk that is involved with getting into that particular investment or continuing to hold that investment, what's the opportunity cost there.

All of these things are what you need to be thinking about, not what the return was over the past month or year or three years,

focusing really on quality businesses, quality assets, and fitting that with your risk profile and your ultimate goals.
