My technical producer Sean just wished me a good show. After all these years,

I'm very touched. My friends, I have an interesting subject for you. Since I have always talked about

everything in life, this would go under that heading. One of the characteristics of a great person.

I developed this idea just recently, wrote about it. It's not published yet, so you're hearing it first

right here. There's a related question, should people aspire to be great people?

There's a big problem, as soon as I raise that question, because people confuse powerful

slash famous with great. That you can't be a great person if you're not famous or powerful.

And that is a real bad development in the modern period.

So people don't aspire to greatness unless they're in major positions of influence.

Terrible, terrible mistake. I have said very often, so some of you may actually recall this,

that the famous are rarely significant and the significant are rarely famous.

Yes, that's a very important guideline here. So when I say to you, do you aspire or do you want your

children to aspire to greatness? You're probably thinking, how can I aspire to it? Not some major public

figure. And that's such a terrible mistake. Before I give you my four characteristics of a great

person that I came up with, I'd like to ask you all to think for a moment. And I'd like you to

think about this too. Put present company aside. Do you know any great people?

I think I know a lot actually. I think you do know a lot. That's correct.

That is, I think you do. I think I do. That's right.
