In January 1950, 11 of Boston's most well-known criminals managed to pull off the

heist of the century. In a carefully crafted plan, the group stole nearly $3 million from

the Brink's security firm. For six years, investigators questioned how they pulled it off,

and for six years, the men continued to walk free,

until one day their operation came crumbling down.

Today, we're taking a look at the Great Brinks robbery.

So what do we have here?

Like the Avengers assembling and robbing this, like a gathering of well-known criminals?

It sounds wild.

It does sound a little Avengers-esque. Look, robberies, all bad.

I also don't know if they've done anything more illegal than that.

That being said, kind of cool that a bunch of well-known robbers got together, I'm assuming.

Uh-huh, uh-huh.

Then on top of that, $3 million? I'm assuming that's back then. Yeah. In the 50s. Yeah. In 1950s. So that's a ton of money. That's like everyone is wealthy and retires and has good for the rest of their life kind of money. Mm-hmm. That's wild. And then I'm also very excited to see how it all comes crashing down.

Yeah.

I'm assuming with so many different criminals involved, there's a spider web of people connected

to everybody and then everyone probably has like their people.

And so someone probably ratted somewhere or there's just a lot of loose

holes everywhere you know what I mean like you know what I mean and so I know what you mean yeah a lot of
