but it's absolutely necessary to spend time addressing this pressing subject.

King Solomon's counsel to husbands and wives was written thousands of years ago,

but it's never been more relevant than right now.

Sometimes people in our generation mistakenly assume that moral debauchery is new,

but any historian can tell you that decadence has pervaded cultures all the way back to the beginning of time,

and compromise and marriage always bears the same outcome,

misery, disappointment, and broken relationships.

And so during today's program, we'll seek Solomon's counsel in Proverbs chapter 5

on how to protect our good marriages from any semblance of compromise,

but trail never happens overnight.
