administrative state. I'm Jace Lington, the Gray Center's Policy and Strategy Director. Today, I'm

excited to share with you something I had hoped to publish

last fall. We recorded the panel conversations at our annual conference on the state of the

administrative state, but the audio quality was terrible. But now, just a few months later,

AI has advanced enough that I've been able to enhance that audio so you can actually hear what we discussed.

And it won't be the most pleasant listening experience you've ever had,

but these panel discussions dive into important topics about regulatory policy,

and they're well worth your patience with our technical difficulties.

This first panel that began the day was a broad discussion of the state of the administrative state.

It's moderated by the Wall Street Journal's Mene Okuwa-Baruwa,

and the conversation featured perspectives from James Burnham,

who was the former Council for Doge,

Susan Dudley, former OIRA administrator,

and Professor Lisa Heinzerling of the Georgetown University Law Center.
