Hello, bit of an experiment for today's newscast.

I'm speaking to you from the central lobby in Parliament.

So on my right is the House of Commons.

On my left is the House of Lords, surrounded by lots of statues

of old Prime Ministers and all sorts of kind of carved things

in a shiny gold roof.

And the reason I'm here is because it's been another busy day

in Parliament.

Not as busy as we expected, though,

because we're all still waiting for Sue Gray's report,

which means we're also still waiting for that statement,

the Prime Minister promised to give to MPs

and the questions he promised to answer once we'd read the report.

So we're just sort of filling the time.

One of my old colleagues on the daily politics, though,

has filled the time brilliantly.

So remember yesterday, everyone was talking about that interview,

the Tory MP and Boris Johnson ally, Conor Burns,

gave to Channel 4 News, where he talked about the claims

about the Prime Minister's birthday party in Downing Street.

And he said the Prime Minister was basically ambushed with the cake.
