My dad was a monster and I saw God transform him.

I didn't think that God could do that.

And so I wrote this song for my dad.

I love that it says that he will wipe away every tear.

He will come to your face and he will dry your tears and say,

no more mourning, no more pain, no more death.

For the former things have passed away.

Behold, the new has come. I've come to ask you a question today, how are you really doing?

Not the fine kind of answer, not the answer we say if we are part of a church when we walk down the hall saying good morning to everybody, but really, I wonder today how you're really, really, really doing.
