Summary

This episode is a singular episode comprised of two earlier ones. We will be picking up this topic again here in the new future, so welcome to your refresh!

For this episode, Robin revisits the documentary film GRAPHIC SEXUAL HORROR, which she previously covered over 10 years ago. The film is about INSEX, which was shuttered by the Department of Homeland Security under George W. Bush. Part 1 will be an overview of the film itself, along with a brief history of obscenity laws surrounding pornography. Part 2 will be a discussion on the correlation (if any) between violent pornography and violent sexual offenses. Robin tells the story of the infamous French aristocrat known for excess, filthy literature and debauchery...the Marquis de Sade. His sexual appetite and interests were so notorious that he life was the construct for the word "sadism."

Apologies for my voice, as I am currently dying from allergies.

0:56.2

1:01.1

requests that I get is to revisit one of my old podcast very first

1:06.7

episodes. For those of you who are not aware, I had a horror podcast over 10 years ago called All Horror.

1:14.3

We actually did really well for ourselves and I got to discuss what I love most, which is

1:19.4

horror movies, or movies deemed too extreme or too taboo for general consumption.

1:27.0

I found that luckily there is a great deal of overlap between the worlds of true crime and

1:32.1

horror and you may have noticed the worlds of true crime and horror,

1:38.4

especially lately, like in the last month or so.

1:41.4

The episode that I am referring to specifically is an episode on a documentary

1:46.4

film called Graphic Sexual Horror. Some of you may have listened to that old episode. I mean, it was up for quite a while and it's like 12 years old.

1:57.0

In that episode, I and my two other co-host at the time discuss this film at Lang. The cover art alone is something that will burrow into your psyche

and plant itself there for the rest of your life.

2:10.0

It's not a horror movie,

2:12.0

but it's actually just a documentary on one of the most controversial
