arguably the most anticipated event of the summer games and we had it

yesterday and it was an absolute dandy unfortunately the man behind the mic cannot

say the same thing. NBC's Lee Diffie made a the Who wants it the most? Now Thompson starts to wind up. Curly is going with him.

Uh, not so fast. Not so fast. Not so fast. Thompson did not win the gold medal.

It was as close as it can be which gives me the question and I'm sure most people have. How was it that Lee

Diffie was so certain that the Jamaican runner won the race? this is one of the most botched calls in one of the

great Olympic races of all time. I mean, I don't understand how he could make that call when the race was decided by what three

one hundredths of a second three one hundredths of a second and yet he was so sure the

runner that won the race was not the American in Liles? Come on now.

No Liles is the gold medalist from the United States. It was close. We know it was

close. How close? A photo finish. So a photo finish and yet

Diffie was so certain that the runner from Jamaica won the race.

I got to tell you this reminds me of the story.
