And I say, you know what, not so fast.

Because you can't just count on the draft to turn your franchise around.

Let me give you a great example of this, all right?

The Kings and their draft picks this year had the 12th pick and they took Tyrese Halliburton, right?

And he may end up being the Rookie of the Year.

Whereas two years ago, Marvin Bagley now in his third year, but two drafts before

a Halliburton, they took Marvin Bagley second, and obviously that was the wrong choice. But if you want to think about building your team through the draft and that's the way to do it,

I'm going to give you Exhibit A, the Phoenix Sons, who are currently, if you can believe this,

the second best team record wise in the Western conference and yet

their drafting has been horrible if you go back to 2016

They took Draug and Bender fourth overall in the first round bust.
