Summary

The 49ers are trying to put the best possible spin on their quarterback position, but bottom line, it is a tough position to be in. Everyone expected Jimmy Garoppolo to be traded by now, but shoulder surgery has derailed that for now. A year ago the 49ers gave up a ransom to move up in the draft so they could select Trey lance. This week at the league meetings in Florida we heard from GM John Lynch and HC Kyle Shanahan and they both tried putting the best foot forward on the situation. Regardless of how you feel about the situation, it is hard not see Lance starting in September. The 49ers have put themselves in the situation of sinking or swimming with Lance.
