The Kings escaped with a win last night, somehow, some way, the Aaron Fox making three free throws

at the end of the game with the Kings down one

and they win at 1 30 to 128.

The Rockets did everything in their power to give the game away and

Sacramento said thank you very much. And what the hell is going on with Kevin Hurtar?

Is he going to break out of his slump which has been going on way too long and there have been other players that have

been way inconsistent. Fox consistent, so bonus consistent and that's really

about it and I know the Kings are 31 and 23 and that's great and they're third in the west and that's great. But don't be fooled. The Kings are not playing that well right now. And if you think they are playing well, you're not watching the same team that I'm watching. They are not playing well at all and they better be

careful because beginning tomorrow the schedule gets a lot more difficult with

the Dallas Mavericks and as I record this still don't know whether Monti McNair is going to make a deal or not

before today's deadline at noon Pacific but the Kings to me really need a backup

point card let's hope they can get that, but again the schedule is

brutal particularly after the all-star break. And I'll tell you, I don't look at

individual games, I look at, you know, trends and the recent trend of the Kings in the last five to ten

games is not one that is very encouraging as the Kings get ready for the

stretch drive and the battle for the playoffs in the Western Conference.

Plain and simple, they need to start playing a whole lot better and need to start playing

better real soon.

And that's my rant for today.
