Got a question for you. Why do we have power rankings in

sports? Like what is the purpose of a MBA power ranking or the NFL power

rankings every week? I mean isn't that what we have power rankings

every week. I mean isn't that what we have standings for?

standings are the power rankings, right?

Power rankings. What's the purpose of it?

Like who came up with that? Like why? Is that how we're going to

determine who's in the NFL playoffs next month? We're going to look at

somebody's power rankings? Like when you really get down to it, what's the purpose of it to make you feel good

if you see your team near the top of the power rankings even though they may not be at the

top of your division yeah right like what the hell good is that? That's why you have standings. I've never understood this. Drives me crazy. And yet every time I go online, every time I go to my favorite sports website, I'm looking at power rankings.
