passer calls awful with a capital a but now the 49ers are in the post season they know

that they're going to be home for the first round of the playoffs Philadelphia

and all likelihood is going to be the number one seed.

And then there is Brock Purdy, who again had a good game at a second start

in relief of Jimmy Garopolo. The defense for the 49ers is the real deal.

I don't even think you have to say arguably the best defense in football. I think it is the best defense in football, but are the 49ers the best team in football?

It really doesn't matter right now. It's December. It's still the regular season and that's what the playoffs are for.

And then there is Kyle Shanahan who has really done a masterful

job, particularly the last couple of weeks with the quarterback shuffle and getting pretty

ready and how well he has played very innovative play calling but we know

about Shanahan's M. O really has not been able to win the big game up 28 to

three in the Super Bowl against New England, some very questionable play calling down the stretch
