particularly on the front line now that Kagan Murray is going to be out for the foreseeable future.

Will it be the rookie Max Rayneau?

Will it be Dario Soritz?

Will it be somebody else?

Here's what I do know.

There's nobody on the roster that can do what Murray does defensively, but hey, they're not the only team in the league that's got injuries. Deal with it. I want to see Dennis Schrooter play well tonight. He has been ineffective in the first two preseason games. I want to see better defense, particularly against a three. And then I want to see the four position and how that's all going to look in terms of a week from tonight.

Hard to believe the season opens a week from tonight in Phoenix against the Suns.

The Sun's not receiving good news as Jaling Green, who they acquired from Houston, will miss at least the opener as he has aggravated a hamstring strain over in Macau as they played the Brooklyn Nets for a pair of games.

So, you know, both teams will be short-handed.

Let's hope the Kings don't have any more injuries between now and then.
