I love this deal for Atlanta. Not that I'm going to make them the team to beat in the East or move them up significantly in the standings, but here's the bottom line. The Hawks this year were a better team without Tray Young, and it seemed seemed at least from where I sit and watching the Hawks from time to time that they played more team basketball, more spirited when they didn't have Trey Young.

Clearly, they are a much better defensive team when Young is not on the floor.

Again, he's in his prime.
