When free agency was embarking upon us, this was the number one guy we felt in the league for us that was going to fit that build

and help us establish.

He's a building block to us establishing that sustainable success that we're striving to get.

We talked a lot about that in terms of this season being so important that when people

come see the Kings play, home on the road, that they know they're going to get a very tough,

hard playing team that plays together that leaves it all out on the floor each and every night.

And we can live with the results if we do that.

And this guy, we believe strongly is going to be the catalyst to that, along with obviously

the rest of the team.

But you need a leader at that point in opposition.

I think Dennis is going to definitely provide that.

Well, that didn't work out too good, did it, O.P., and as far as the Kings being a tough,

hard playing team every night, they have the worst record in the NBA with the worst net rating

in the NBA.

So it's not exactly a soundbite that if I'm Scott Perry, I want to be played on the radio

too often, that's for sure.

Well, definitely, you know.

But he said all the right things at that time.
