Interesting news today, the NBA has announced that they will retire Bill Russell's

number six, okay?

Meaning that that number will never be won again in the NBA.

And I think it's great, but here's what I don't think is great.

Why wait until the man has passed?

Why do it posthumously?

Like, you know he's not going to live forever.

He was 88, and I just think a gesture like that.

And we're talking about Bill Russell now,

it would have been great if they had made that gesture while he was alive.

So all NBA players will wear a commemorative patch on the right shoulder of

their jerseys this season and every court will have a Shamrock shaped logo with Russell's number six on the sideline near the

scores table. Now personally I think that's going a little overboard. That's just me. All right? I think that's going a little overboard that's just me all right I think that's going a little

overboard I don't think you need to have you know every court in the NBA with a Shamrock-shaped logo with this number six on the sideline near the

scores table.
