All right, Brian Strauss, you and me are together back in person here at the wedding of Avi

Creditor, we warned everyone.

And Alyssa, his new wife, our editor, in some random part of Maryland, the funny thing to me here, Brian, is this is a Sunday night,

and we're going to record this here at the wedding because we're going to be, I'm going to be driving back tomorrow and don't have the time to record tomorrow.

We have always tried to approach our podcasts as sort of resembling our conversations that we

used to have in rental cars on the way to games.

And here we are literally in a rental car in Frederick, Maryland.

And we're actually not going to talk about games so much here,

but we are going to talk about the World Cup and our experience of our first World Cup as journalists

because the World Cup is coming soon and we're going to have a daily podcast and it's a defining

the defining event of what we do.

The lights just went out in the car grant. Yes. I want to I want to first

you know we joked about last week we joked about doing like a drunk history podcast from

Obie's wedding and he heard this and sent us an email and it was a joke

like I was I was joking it was just one of the many stupid things I say on this podcast and
