So much of the music we make is creative, even in a non-songwriter, kind of a way.

You know, we're improvising every time we get on stage and we're creating things every time

we get on stage. And that's the spirit and the ethos of the Grateful Dead music is you,

my dad used to say we never played anything the same way once. And so it's, it's something he always, you know, kind of instilled in us, especially, you know,

in the last 10, 15 years when we had, you know, he had the music venue,

Terrap and Crossroads right down the road from where I am.

And all of us young kids would just go play in the bar every, every night and just sort

of figure it out.

Just get up there and go figure out how to be a musician and how to improvise.
