I had a bit of telling, Super 40, this time, world champions, and there ain't nothing you can do about it.

It did get a little anticlimactic on Saturday afternoon when the guys were coming off the board.

Phil Perry, before you say a word, I want everybody to understand just how valuable Phil is in terms of taking the draft by the horns, wrestling it to the ground, tying its hooves together,

and just bouncing up and down on its big bull

belly. He has been fantastic. And he's done it for a few years. And there's a point, you know,

where I said, look, I cover the team. I'm a beat writer. I can't immerse myself in these players

year after year after year. It lost its luster. Some of it did. I love the first round. I love the first three rounds.

But after that, I'm like, all this time on these guys, they never even take. But Phil

still loves it. And he loves a boy than I ever did. So thank you for all your work

and carrying us the way you did through our shows,

through our digital content, and through our pods. Well, thank you very much for saying all that.

I don't know if I carried us. I mean, you are grinding away on this stuff as much as anybody,

but I love it. I mean, it is a, it's a selfish exercise in a lot of ways just because I like it.

And so it's, uh, it is a labor of love and putting it all together and learning all these new names and learning all these new stories and how it all comes together for the Patriots has been especially interesting, Tom, these last few years, because we knew this was coming.

Right. The rebuild, the reload, whatever you want to call it, the post Brady era. Tom, these last few years because we knew this was coming, right?
