Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement. And I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hi my friends, it's Sally Clarkson and it's Sunday night and I am almost up to my eyeballs

in lots of events in my life and so I almost didn't even get my podcast finished tonight.

But I thought I do want my friends to hear from me. I love being a part of seeing God

encourage you. I just am so grateful that you find these podcasts encouraging and so I

thought I am going to do this podcast even if it's a short podcast. But actually tonight

is about a subject that really is very important to me. I value it very greatly because I think

that more and more this whole area in this particular chapter of the 10 gifts of heart,

the gifts that we give to our children before they leave home is profoundly essential

to a confident life that is flourishing a life that knows how to flourish in relationships

that knows how to get along with people that knows how to use their personal relationship

in an influence so that people will listen to their message. And so even though I don't

have a lot of time tonight, I just really hope that you will take the time for yourself

and for your children to train a whole grid in life, a whole value in life for manners.

Manors are those actions that preserve giving of dignity, of kindness, of thoughtfulness,

of graciousness to others. And when we are gracious to others, we honor the value of

their humanity. Honor is a word that comes to my mind because honor values what the design

of God is in another person. And it says because you are deemed important to God, I will

find a way to treat you through my behavior, my mannerisms, my manners in such a way
