If you brought your Bible with you this evening, let's turn to 1 Corinthians the 12th chapter.

If you didn't bring a Bible, we have extra Bibles. Be glad to let's use one of ours.

Raise your hand and turn to 1st Corinthians 12.

And verse 12, he said, for as the body is one and has many members and all the members of that

one body being many are one body so also is Christ he said just like the human body, it's one body, but it's got all kind of parts.

He said, the body of Christ is just like that.

For by one spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles,

whether we be bond or free, have been all made to drink

into one spirit, for the body is not one member, but many.

If the foot shall say, because I'm not the hand, I'm not of the body, is it therefore not

not of the body?

Well, no, it still is.

If the ear shall say, because I'm not the eye, I'm not of the body.

Is it, therefore, not of the body?

Well, no, it still be part of the body.

If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing?

Well, there wouldn't be any.

If the whole body was hearing, where were the smelling?

Well, you wouldn't have any.

But now has God set the members, every one of them, in the body as it has pleased him.

Let me just keep reading tonight. If they were all one member, where were the body?

But now are they many members yet but one body?
