She's the author of Roots in Sky and a new book called Placemaker.

Christy lives with her husband and four children at Maplehurst, which is a Victorian farmhouse

in southeastern Pennsylvania, where she spends

her time gardening, writing, and making her home a place of worship.

In this episode, we talk about the beauty of sinking your roots deep into the life and through

the place where you are today.

Even if that space is only temporary, even if the place that you're in is a place of frustration

or loneliness or pain.

She calls it the holy work and she believes it's a part of how we relate to God and live

in the world while we're reflecting his image.
