Hey friends, welcome to the Graceology with Gwen Smith podcast.

I'm Gwen Smith and I'm really glad you're here.

Each week I host two different shows, one with incredible guests and meaningful conversations,

and one called A Moment of Grace, where

it's just me, talking to just you, in a reflective, devotional style to help connect those

busy, bruised, and broken places to the beautiful hope of Jesus. So now I invite you to sit

back and take a deep breath as I share with you a moment of grace.

I can fall with the best of them. Really, it's almost a spiritual gift for me.

When I was in second grade, Mr. Traynor came once a week to take me out of Mrs. Bryant's

classroom for what I thought was an extra phys ed class.

I loved getting out of the bookwork to juggle beanbags and play fun games with Mr. Trainer in the gym.

And I thought it was so cool that I had the privilege of extra playtime.

Yay, me!

Years later, I learned that Mr. Traynor Time was

actually a special school program to help kids with underdeveloped coordination. Yay me.

Back in those young, uncoordinated days of mine, my family vacationed into South Jersey Shore.

We stayed in a big white Victorian beach house with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, just across the

street from the boardwalk in Cave May. In the evenings, we'd walk up and down the boardwalk as a family

and have a blast, except for that one year when I fell off the boardwalk two different times.

Two fell about four feet down, once onto the hood of a parked car.

See, I really am gifted at falling.

The psalmist was too.
