When God saves us with his saving grace, with the initial work of regeneration by which we were brought to faith and the justification. Not only does he save us,

And that ministry is that which is entrusted not only to the pastors of the church or the

What a responsibility we have as Christians to be the bearers of God's gift of grace.

This Lord's Day, we're continuing with Dr. R. C. Sproul's sermon series from Paul's

letter to the Ephesians.

Today we see that through Christ's death and resurrection, each of us has been gifted to

serve our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Here's Dr. Sproul now on our role as members of the Christian Church.

We're going to continue with our study of Paul's letter to the Ephesians, and we're in the

fourth chapter, and I will be reading beginning at verse 7, and I'll read

through verse 16.

But to each one of us, grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

Therefore, he says when he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.

Now this, he ascended.

What does it mean but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?

He who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill

all things. And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors, and teachers,
