So Duane and I are going to be sharing about the grace of God.

And of course, this is what changed my life.

Just real quickly, I know most of you have heard this,

so I'm not going to go into detail.

But I got born again when I was eight years old,

the very first time that I ever really understood that I had sinned against God, not just my parents.

And I knew that I needed a Savior. I got born again the very first time I was convicted of that and I've been seeking

God my whole life but I became a religious Pharisee. I didn't mean to, but that's what my

denomination taught me, that you had to earn the things of God.

And so I tried harder than anybody I knew.

And I don't mean that in a conceded way.

It's just the truth.

I mean, I gave everything I knew to seeking the Lord and I've been seeking God my entire life

But I thought that God would respond to me and if I lived wholly enough and did enough good things, then God would accept me.

And it never worked. My dad died when I just turned 12, just a couple of weeks after I turned 12, and I prayed for him for six weeks,

fasted as an 11-year-old and did everything I knew to try and get God to heal my dad and it didn't work and I saw all kinds of

things happen and I was frustrated but I thought well I just need to try harder

and so I was just trying harder and harder and then on March the 23rd,
