It is Wednesday June 21st, 2023. It is the first day of summer.

Summer is here. Spring was yesterday. Today is summer. Fall is on the way.

You don't think it will be here quick? What did you think summer was going to show up?

Never. Summer wasn't going to come. It was too far away.

It's here and I hope that whatever you did to acknowledge it, it was a peaceful day.

Let the sun splash on your face if it was sunny. It was actually kind of cool over here today.

It didn't feel like summer. It felt like spring. But I don't care.

I'm happy to be here with you and everybody who's watching across the several sites that you can find us live at 7pm.

We have a shorter broadcast lined up for you this evening and so I intend to spend a good portion of it with a returning guest, Lieutenant Colonel Tony Schaefer.

And we're going to be speaking with Tony who is a best selling author and a former Department of Defense Intelligence operative.

We're going to be speaking with him about about Ukraine.

I'd like to get a little bit of a little bit of his insight into the curious strategies that are being employed out there.

If you can call them that and maybe just talk a little bit more about big picture and game things from a guy who knows his way around the battlefield digital and otherwise.

So a grab bag to start. That's what we'll do. A bad ass to end it all and then we do it all over again tomorrow for a almost a full two hours because tomorrow night is the fourth and almost final evening on book club.

With Charlie Robinson for shoeless Joe and I say almost because this weekend we have to all watch field of dreams together.

We'll do that as a Sunday night premiere and I told Charlie and everybody else has been reading along we have to watch it together so that we can get back on air one more time and and compare the book to the movie and have a good time with that.
