Happy Marathon Monday, everybody. Yes, to you. Yes. Big day. So what are your official duties today?

I crown the men's winner. Oh, excellent. Yeah. No, it's very nerve-wracking, actually. Really?

Yeah, because, you know, they finish the race. They're standing there in front of you, and they're generally slight. I don't know if you've looked at marathon runners, but they don't have much to them. Yes. Greg's an anomaly. Yes. And then you have the, you know, the BAA, this beautiful gold leaf crown. Yeah. And you have to place it on their head in a way that it doesn't fall off during the plane and they get them. We one here earlier yeah it's still here is the wreaths still here it's in wiggies bag it's an olive branch i've learned that yes yes he'll you've been extended many in your time i'm sure i have but i hand them right back when they give them to me i want to like so i'm walking around, I see the bomb-stiffing we see the security we all know what happened here but I do think that the government and law enforcement together have found what I think is really hard

this feeling of safe and that the feeling of the marathon I think is even better than it was before

2013 despite the obvious

increased need of security.

How do you sort of handle all of those?

Well, totally.

And I'm glad you brought it up because there are people not just working today, but who've

been working days and weeks before today to make sure that everyone has a really safe and

enjoyable experience.

And I think, you know, after so many years, they really have it down.

And so huge, you know, shout out to all who are involved in the safety operations planning,

the logistics planning, a lot goes into it.

And I think it's true, like, that the marathon has taken on this,

I mean, it was already special, but it's become such a celebratory, like, sign of resilience

and overcoming something. And I think really importantly, people coming together. And I just,

I love Marathon Day. It's like, it's, I think this is just like the greatest day in the city, um, because of that feeling. How much money does it? It brings a good amount of money to the economy too, right? Yeah, we like that. Yeah. You get people coming in from all over the world to compete, family, friends, watching them. So that's, that's great. And I also think it's just a huge emotional boost as we

start spring coming out of what was a really long winter. It's a great feeling. But yeah, I mean,

I'm sure, you know, I want our restaurants and bars and hotels really booming. And they certainly

do through this kind of event event some of these elite runners
