Summary

Some of the GOP’s most prominent 2024 presidential candidates have been making the rounds in Iowa to pitch their vision for the country to the first voters in the nomination process, and voters seem especially energized by one topic: education. There have been major moves within the Republican Party to seize upon education issues like school choice and parental rights in the classroom, which are the exact issues that one GOP governor successfully campaigned on in 2021. The Republican Governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, joins the podcast to explain what progress Virginia has seen on education issues, what he believes must be done to put the power back in the hands of parents, and the challenging policy issues that could impact the 2024 presidential election. Today, a Texas federal court is hearing a case that could impact the accessibility of abortion pills across the country. An anti-abortion group known as the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine is suing the Food and Drug Administration, arguing that its approval of the abortion drug Mifepristone should be withdrawn. Many abortion advocates are concerned about the nationwide accessibility of these abortion pills if the lawsuit succeeds in court. FOX News Justice Correspondent David Spunt joins the Rundown to preview the hearing and discuss how the case could make its way to the Supreme Court. Plus, commentary from Outkick's Tomi Lahren.
