0:13.7	Hunsaker Canyon Road in Lafayette, a sleepy little suburb outside San Francisco, shortly

0:21.6	Daniel was a prominent attorney in the area.
0:24.4	He was headed to a meeting about a big, high-profile case he was working on.
0:28.8	He was a criminal defense attorney and he was defending a woman named Susan Polk.
0:33.1	She had been charged with murdering her husband, a psychiatrist named Dr. Felix Polk.
0:38.0	The trial became a media circus because Susan claimed that her late husband had sex
0:42.6	with her, beginning when she was a 14-year-old patient under his care.
0:46.8	Eventually, Susan was convicted, but this case made national news, and so in that morning,
