He's been on before and I've been on his show.

And we mutually, I guess, got together around George Orwell, the man, the myth, etc. And I had a chance

to read Ian Slater's George Orwell, the Road to Airstrip 1. He's much more in depth about Orwell

than I and probably most people. And he picked that book up and he fit that in, I guess,

along with the information that he garnered from other books.

And I guess somehow some way you do find what you believe is probably the most constant thread about what the person was.

Now, how many books do you have or have you read that give some kind of exegesis about Orwell's work and also may look biographically at Orwell or Eric Blair?

I've read probably two or three biographies and two or three more of what are, well, Ian Slater, his book, The Road to Airstrip one, he admits it's not really a biography, but in some ways it's more than that.

It goes into his writing career and his motivations throughout his career, how they changed with each book and whatever career he did.

So I've read two or three of those books that just go into his career and his motivations.

And then as far as Orwell's writings himself, I've read all his major novels at least twice each, and his essays have read at least twice each.

The only thing I haven't read are there's a book out there called The Lost Writings.

I'd like to get that someday.

But when I discovered him, it was, I want to make this straight, there's one true religion, and you and I are on board with that.

But my introduction into Orwell happened when I was around the age of 30, because like most students in high school, especially government schools

today, I didn't care.

And because they were forcing the book upon me, I tuned out to reading anything by Orwell,
