As the violence continued, one of the president's sons texted Mr. Meadows, quote,

he's got to condemn this shit ASAP. The Capitol Police tweet is not enough. Donald Trump Jr. texted.

Yeah, well, there it is, democracy in action. The more we peel back the layers, the more depressing it is for a conservative like me who actually call

the old school believes in the rule of law. And not in correction, his knuckleheads. And I think Mark Meadows is turning over the

slow fire there and deservedly so. I believe it'll get worse. But to figure all this stuff out, David Axelrot, we brought in somebody with some advice,

boy, boy, do I agree for the Democratic Party? Who do we have?

I know you want to shift the discussion to the Democratic Party after all of that. I don't blame you for that. But the thing I'm

bewildered, hang on, Governor, I'm going to introduce you in one second. The thing that I'm bewildered about is you just were

lecturing us before we started about cleaning up our language so that the kids who listen don't have their their sensibilities affected.

And Donald Trump Jr. blew the whole thing for us right there.

Well, it's, you know, are we surprised that we hear the grind of something hitting the bottom with his name attached, you know.

You are actually a big newsmaker there sitting in the plains. You've put your thoughts together and on the Democratic Party.

All right. Now we're going to get back to what happened in Washington yesterday, but we should start there because can I interrupt for one sec David and I will anyway, I just want to set up the governor as a former Republican political party's always watched him because he was seen as a very

formidable opponent by the repubs because he won an overwhelmingly Trump state big, which is a hat trick, almost no Democratic politician has ever pulled off.

And I can tell you in the R&C basement, they're like, God, we hope the other Dems don't figure out the formula here. This guy has these little special because he's figured out how to unlock our vote.

He not only won, but he won in a year that Donald Trump was carrying the state by two points. So yes, his bona fidees are very, very real. He ran for president.

The party did not follow that path. So you were relieved by that Murphy. But he would have won. Yeah, but the good news is now he's free to be with us.

That's true. Well, maybe he can knock a little sense into the comrades. So let's talk about that, that our op-ed that I thought was incredibly persuasive and were tweeted out after this. It was in the New York Times a little while ago.
