That's how Speaker Mike Johnson, who is joining growing calls for the Trump administration to be more transparent on the Jeffrey Epstein case.

In a podcast interview with conservative commentator, Benny Johnson, the speaker made clear

he trusts President Donald Trump and backs Attorney General Pam Bondi.

But Johnson's decision to pressure the president publicly is a rare and surprising moment

of friction between Trump and his allies in Congress.

Pam Bondi, I don't know, when she originally made the statement, I think she was talking about

documents, as I understood that they were on her desk. I don't know that she was specific

about a list or whatever, but she needs to come forward and explain that to everybody.

I think that the American people need to see what's in there. And that's not hard to understand

across the board. Government is supposed to work for us.

The Trump administration is releasing 2,000 National Guard members from duty in the L.A. area.

The Pentagon made the announcement yesterday, and it comes after the troops were deployed last month in response to immigration protests. It's not clear how many have been added or removed since the first were sent on June 7th.

A U.S. District judge had ruled that Trump unlawfully took several thousand members of California's

National Guard under federal control.

But an appeals court lifted that ruling while the case played out.
