It is Wednesday, March 26th, 2025. Let's get into the mix. Here are your Washington headlines of the day.

Number one, a reconciliation update.

Number two, Roger Wickers Balancing Act. And number three, Mike Johnson's general counsel is retiring

after decades on the hill. Let's get into it yesterday, as we wrote in yesterday's edition,

there is a big reconciliation powwow at the other end of

Pennsylvania Avenue on the White House's

campus, the administration's campus.

And this was with John Thune,

Mike Johnson, and the tax side

of the committee structure. So that'll be ways and means, Senate finance, et cetera.

And everybody returned to the Capitol, surprisingly unified on a number of key elements

on reconciliation.

Debt limit in.

That would be the debt limit is in reconciliation.

One bill, Johnson and Thune agree on that.

A compromised budget resolution by Easter is the yet now the unified goal. So how this is going to

all go down is they're going to spend between now March 26th and April 7th, which is, you know, just a couple weeks away, putting together that
